In this post I will be making an ethical and biological argument for traditionalism, traditionalism as pertaining to traditional gender/sex roles as well as the nuclear family. I will try to keep it concise.
Biological Duty
Duty is typically a moral and often legal obligation to someone or thing, other than yourself. This can range from your family, to your nation, to your community and everything in between. Duty is a necessary value for any society or culture that wishes to thrive, as it is the means through which the individual will serve the collective greater good of the community. Duty is the antithesis of narcissism and individualism which is so prevalent in modern western society today. No individual in any society should be exempt from the duty to the greater good, how does biology relate to duty you may ask?, from an evolutionary perspective men and women are designed to serve differing roles within society. This is evident in biology through the male and female sex hormones testosterone and oestrogen as well as simple physiology existing within pre-pubescent children, these differences effect every level of our biology, both mentally and physically. Testosterone for instance increases muscle mass, bone density, sexual performance and is responsible for a competitive mental state within males. A study by the NIH finding that the female brain switched to an attentive “mode” when hearing the cries of a baby , as well as been more concerned with social approval and preserving relationships than males. (Brizendine. “The Female Brain” 21) , men also tend to get a positive chemical boost from conflict and competition, while in women, conflict is more likely to elicit negative chemical reactions, creating stress, fear & sadness. (Brizendine. “The Female Brain” 40).

These are just a handful of the literal hundreds of biological differences between men and women. And most likely why gender roles remain more or less the same in radically different cultures throughout history and the world. These differences are not meaningless and men and women are quite literally designed to serve differing roles within society and have a biological duty to do so, because if they don’t society will be weakened and in extreme cases have the potential to collapse. Men are by all means built for war and conflict thanks to natural physical virtue, and should thus have a biological duty to serve in the military, as well as all other roles that are either physically demanding or involve conflict. A failure to do so will inevitably lead to a weaker military manned by physically weaker women, a military can often be the difference between a cultures survival or death. Whilst women are biologically geared to raising children, and should thus have a biological duty to the collective to do so. Failing to would lead to nothing less than a childless society fading away and eventually dying out. These duties are more than duties, they are imperatives that must be undertaken for the continuation of civilisation
The nuclear family
The Nuclear family and extended family are the most common family units in all of history throughout nearly all cultures. The nuclear family typically refers to a mother, father and between 2-4 children whilst the extended family generally consists of a mother, father, grandparents, children and cousins. The extended family is typically the result of economic hardship often seen amongst the lower classes throughout history, whilst the nuclear family can be seen as more condensed family unit that naturally rises during times of economic prosperity, and become the predominant family unit throughout most industrialized and wealthy nations particularly throughout Europe and North America, and today remains the most common family unit throughout the world. The defining factor of both these family units is monogamous relationships, which are too seen throughout all cultures around the world.

The importance of the family unit cannot be understated considering it is primarily responsible for the rearing of children, and thus shapes the future of any civilisation. The family is building block or the social equivalent of a biological cell for these reasons, this makes having effective and successful families that raise healthy children of paramount importance to everyone within a nation. However despite this the family unit has recently been largely disregarded and its importance widely ignored thanks to modern western progressivism which widely considers the structure of the family unimportant, and inadvertently as well as openly encourages single parent and homosexual families through sexual liberation for no long term or logical reason other than the concept of liberty. This is evidently an unhealthy or unnatural environment to raise children in as the results of this has been catastrophic amongst the youth, particularly in fatherless homes. 63% of youth suicides come from fatherless homes (5 times the average), 90% of all homeless and runaway children are from fatherless homes (32 times the average), 85% of all children who show behaviour disorders come from fatherless homes (20 times the average), 80% of rapists with anger problems come from fatherless homes (14 times the average), this is just to name a few worrying statistics relating to fatherlessness. In 1960 93% of families in the united states were organized as nuclear units with fathers present, this has now shockingly been reduced to just 63% of all children been raised with both parents. This corelates with the rise of Feminism and western progressivism which regularly openly encourages sexual degeneracy which will inevitably lead to either abortions or fatherless children, which is typical of one night stands and other degenerate practices. Homosexual relationships yield similar results, for instance a study by Mark Regnerus in the journal Social Science Research on lesbian parents in June 2012 found that “the data show rather clearly that children raised by gay or lesbian parents on average are at a significant disadvantage when compared to children raised by the intact family of their married, biological mother and father”. He found that children raised by homosexual relationships are barely half as likely to be currently employed full-time(intact biological families 49% lesbian mothers 26%), are nearly 4 times more likely to identify as something other than entirely heterosexual (Identifies as entirely heterosexual: intact biological families 90%; Lesbian Mothers 61%), are an astonishing 11 times more likely to have been “touched sexually by a parent or other adult caregiver” in childhood(but not necessarily by the homosexual parent; intact biological families 2%; lesbian mothers 23%). The study found 57 damming areas or comparisons in which children form homosexual families under performed, this study was as expected ideologically attacked by LGBTQ activists.
The present day
These wide verities of negative effects resultant of the sexual revolution and feminism has, as illustrated had several severe negative effects on the youth. Youth crime has been significantly increasing in the west, with gun and knife crime increasing an astonishing 14% last years, a worryingly common trend, whilst one in third Americans are arrested before the age of 23. As shown by the statistics above a large portion of these arrested youth originate from fatherless or non-nuclear families. The death of the traditional family is unfortunately going down as unnoticed despites effects been catastrophic, it is an issue that must be addressed by our entire society as a whole.
